There has been a lot of talk about Labels these days,
some Rip offs, some turned extremely commercial, some are fags or money worshippers and few ones are still reliable and truly supporting the scene...
so what do you think of? Red stream, full moon, Barbarian wrath, Elegy, Soulseller, Total holocaust, MFH, Drakkar etc, etc, etc ... and all these names that are around these days...
Be honest, not ass licking nor cult showing hehe

Damn anyone likes EFFES BEER it is a twist heh Cheers .

well ill let you have it!

And dont consider this an asslicking or whatever thing... i was bored therefore the answer

RedStream, best label i have worked with, a very honest and straight to the point dude, released our debut album

Fullmoon has in my eyes one good release (mysticum) seem to have some what a ripoff stamp... but in the long run jon seems to make right for himself (!?)

Barbarian wrath, the goat guy is a serious person, say what you want about his releases but i respect him for doing his things.. very reliable

Elegy, dont know much anbout this label

Soulseller, two words. Lazy fuck. Will this repugnant record ever see the light of day?

Total holocaust, i like this label, very fast and very reliable one of the few in sweden that actually does what he says he should

Drakkar. slow bastard and the founder has a very homoerotic band...

ChaosGod
06-01-04, 12:35
really close opinions but I just would like to add that drakkar are not awful but they could be a lot better if they weren't a bit lazy and creating excuses everynow and then as I heard from many but never dealt withthe guy.

About Barbarian wrath, i think he is one of the best around as a label and a studio.

Red Stream: generic selection, no releases that interest me. Ordered from them once in 2000, no problems.

Full Moon: generic selection, almost no releases that interest me ( the Celestia CD was great, though ). Ordered from them twice, around 1998/1999, no problems.

Barbarian Wrath: never ordered from them, never will.

Elegy: the label that released the new Thor's Hammer album, right? Otherwise, totally unfamiliar with them.

Total Holocaust: have not ordered from them, they do have good releases ( especially the Ornaments of Sin MCD ) and a very good selection though.

MFH: totally unfamiliar with them.

Drakkar: have not ordered from them yet, a few good releases and very good selection.

Non-black metal band? Non-black metal band? What, do they not have enough buzzing minor-key guitars and blast beats and high-pitched screaming to qualify as "black metal"?

I think the thread is about Labels and the Celestia debate has been running long enough.

Listen once, if you like, then listen...

If you dislike, useless to speak about it.

Make distinction between a band / a person / A label.

Seing Celestia live was some sort of strange experiment and tend to appear as "a joke" cause of the huge difference between the speech/ the music/ the visual.

So nothing to say about it.

About labels, try them, keep in memory who's ripping you and who don't.

I'm not doing any advice or any sort of order, just try your way to judge what is a reliable label.

Myself, I fully support :

End All Life (eal@wanadoo.fr)
Norma Evangelicum Diaboli (www.noevdia.com )
Battlesk' rs (http://www.battleskrs.com/)
Left Hand Path (http://www.evilness.com/lefthandpath)
Ordealis (http://www.ordealis.com/)
Paleur Mortelle Prod (http://pmp.christcrusher.com/)

Northern Heritage-fast and reliable.

Forever Plagued rec. -very good prices and fast as fuck.

BW very fast and prices are also good, not to mention great releases of Megiddo and Countess.

AJNA -great selections and great opportunity to lay hands on Satanic Art!

Orthodox Prod. fast and great bands.

Drakkar Rec. - lots of good releases but they slow,a little.

WHR - is dead now, but it was a label that carried lots of obscure releases on american continent ,name Old Wainds ,Moonblood, Mutiilation etc.

MFH - ordered a couple times, but it's down temporarily, also they were carriers of many hard to find releases

these are labels which i fully respect and order from, very likely i put in future list of some that do not deserve a such respect/

Okay, I understand now. Some of my favorites

Ancient Nation (http://www.thepaganfront.com/anp/main.htm) - They have released a few great tapes (such as the Lutomysl and both Astrofaes ), have good prices and an interesting selection. The site design is also very good, with cover scans and tracklists for most of the recordings they sell.

Autistiartili (http://autistiartili.cjb.net/) - Not much as far as good releases ( and most of them are CD versions of old tapes ) but very good as a distro. Tape prices are fine, CD prices are slightly high ( though consistent ) and I recieve my orders quickly.

Blutreinheit/Eastern Hate (http://www.capricornus.info/EH/catalogue.htm) - Some good releases ( even if most are really rereleases ), low prices and I receive my orders very quickly.

Old Legend (http://www.oldlegend.com/) - Similar to the above ( decent releases, fast shipping ), though the prices are fairly high.

I have also had good results ordering from Spread Evil and Supreme Art, though their selections are not really the most interesting right now.

Misanthrope

Forever Plagued is good.

Jersey Devil Distro has a good reputation.

Red Stream is good but most good black metal etc... goes out of stock fast.

Relapse....it's complicated relapse sometimes receives shipments of hard to find black metal yet there are people that call them up and buy it out of stock daily.

Vinland Winds very reliable.

Has anyone ever ordered from evilmusic.com? And if so, are they any good?
