View Full Version : Vlad Tepes
I'm looking for information about this Black Legions' horde. Their discography in detail (I'd like to know how many copies were there released, label name, etc.), maybe some biography...
Does anybody know what these guys are doing now? Did they left BM or what...?

The Black Legions Demo, 1998
An Ode To Our Ruin Best of/Compilation, 2002
--------- Have no ideia if they still in the active or not .
Vlad Tepes is Supreme!!!!
Isn't "An Ode To Our Ruin" a bootleg?
I think these guys are/were Bretons... Many rumours about them since many years (pfff it's the same for TORGEIST, BELKETRE and all BL bands anyway)...
Some persons said they spread plague again by distributing tapes to close friends of 'em, but...
Others said they're not involved in the scene since years...
According to me, "March to the black holocaust" split with BELKETRE is their best release! "War funeral march" is great too...
Try to see mister drakkarNoktu for infos about Black Legions, he he... As far as I know he "walk out with" some BL guys (VERMETH... for exemple),
but I'm very sceptic he answering to anyone.
(hey, maybe he try/tried to put CELESTIA as Black Legion's band ????? ha ha ha).
NB : However that may be it's not (under-)attack against Noktu... nor against CELESTIA (although...).
An Ode to our Ruin is a bootleg...
I'd leave all bootlegs out of the discography because I don't think it's possible to keep track of all of them.

It's not surprising if some idiots are ready to moneying a Lp it's value 3 x multiplicated.
It's the same shit when a guy buy a DEATHSPELL OMEGA Lp and sell it on his distro list for 150 or 200 Euros ! No differences between "eBay" and hypocrite bastards like that.
Interesting that no one wanted their releases when it was out back then but now theres people paying absurd amounts of money for whatever it´s from Vlad Tepes, something i´ll never understand.Maybe it would be easier and just cheaper if people would have a listen to things when they are out,but ok,not all have been in the "scene" for a long time, anyway,Vlad Tepes is/was a excellent band but their tracks on the split with Torgeist are not that good

ehh you can't hear every single release when its out,
so it dosen't help to pull out the old "why didn't they care for the band when it was released"
could care less though.
one thing is to not have the chance to listen to it when out, true theres tons of stuff being released all the time and it´s hard to keep up with it but come on,we are talking about releases that are from early 90´s till 96,that´s a long time.Anyway, theres no use talking about this, just wish the egay trend would stop.

Someone SHOULD re-release their old stuff to prevent selling them or even their bootlegs for jewish prices! The same should be done with Moonblood for example...
Yes, Vlad Tepes was excellent - I've got their split with Belketre, the "War Funeral March" mCD and "An Ode to our Ruin" bootleg. None of them original unfortunately. But how to buy an original when $100 is the minimum for it?!
Sorry to hear that their split with Torgeist is weak... How about their demo tapes after the split with Belketre? Anyone heard them?
Sorry, I meant these ones:
Dans Notre Chule Demo, 1996
La Morte Lune Demo, 1997
The Black Legions Demo, 1998

I personally love the VT side on the split with Torgeist! I don't find it weak at all (unlike Torgeist...)
"La morte lune" may be good, I don't know... the sound is so crappy I can't say whether I dig those songs or not.

Probably this has been stated already...
I'm sure it'd be quite impossible to list everything Vlad Tepes has recorded since i'm sure there have been tapes just given to members of the circle and haven't been leaked out.
But as far as the more public releases, I think everyone has documented them.

For me that's because when Mutillation & V.T. was releasing some good shit, I was still listening to Metallica & don't know what BM is.And that's also true that too many new bands & releases every year,it's really hard to keep up everything.

The split with Torgeist makes me disappointed (a little bit...)
V.T. side is good but I like the songs split with Belketre more (Mo~~~~~~~~~~~~re). As to Torgeist.....Well,Vermeth is a great band....
Vermeth could be Torgeist, just changes the name, music wise is almost equal,so if you like Vermeth,I see no reason to not like Torgeist.
I heard something about a offical re-release of Vlad Tepes stuff on vinyl, any one has some info about this ?

If Drakkar is now releasing Torgeist's demos on vinyl then maybe they'll also do such a re-release of Vlad Tepes' stuff?

I think drakkar is going to re-release the black legions stuffs to stop this ebay&bootlegs thing. The vlad tepes/torgeist split lp should be out soon.

Releasing it on vinyl won´t low much the value of the old CD releases, besides, these vinyl version will be ebay items also.
Even if CD versions would be re-released,they wouldnever have the same value as the first editions.

So true that Drakkar is the "best" exemple of fighting mercantile attitude !!! Probably by selling second-hand Cds for 15 euros in their list or DEATHSPELL OMEGA Lp for 150 ...? Or maybe by sending Cd'cases without Cd'circles in ?????? Or by sending 3000 copies of a stuff limited to 1000 (with so nice scanner-copy booklet of course) ?????
However Drakkar have fucking great bands with good feeling in their ranks... so paradoxal thing !
According to me, the last TORGEIST Lps are worthless, pretext to make easy-money once again... But it's just my opinion. I don't think they stopped the bootlegs proliferation of TORGEIST stuffs...

Hmnn
Bit Sketchy reallly....
--------
Aakon Ketreeh
Ambient - Side project of Torgeist and Belketre guitarist Aakon Ketreeh.
Amaka Hahina
Ambient - Side project of Vermeth / ex-Torgeist members.
Belketre
Black metal - Line-up consists of Aakon Keetreh and Vordb Dreagvor Uezeerb.
Black Murder
Black Metal - Line-up supposedly consists of Vlad Tepes and Belketre members.
Black Legions Projects
Ambient and black metal - Not so much a band, but is a compilation tape(s?) (and later, bootleg CD) of Black Legions members Vordb (Belketre), Wlad, and Vorlok (Vlad Tepes).
Apparently the audio of some off this is ripped from video
Moevot
Ambient - Side project of Vordb (Belketre) - Deno 93 Tape.
Mutiilation
Black Metal - Fronted by Wil [Willy] Lord Meyna'ch (apparently thrown out of the Black Legions for personal reasons), also involved over the past years were these members and/or session musicians: David - Bass (Rites through the Twilight of Hell, Ceremony of the black cult ), J. Luc - Drums (Rites through the Twilight of Hell, Ceremony of the black cult, drums and keyboards on Hail Sathanas, We are the black legions 7") Krissagrazabeth - Drums (Satanist Styrken, Black Imperial Blood) and Mordred - bass (Vampires of Black Imperial Blood)
Also new releases but yeah....
Satanicum Tenebrae
Black Metal - Side project of Meyna'ch of Mutiilation. First demo was ambient, black metal thereafter.
Torgeist
Black Metal - Consists of Lord Aakon Keelreh - guitar, Vordb Bathor Ecsed - Bass, A dark soul - Drums, Lord Beleth'Rim - vocals/guitar.
Vermeth
Black Metal - Consists of The Black Lord Beleth 'Rim, ex-Torgeist vocalist/guitarist
Vlad Tepes
Black Metal - Consists of Wlad Drakksteim - Vocals, Guitars and drums, and Vorlok Drakksteim - Bass and Vocals.
I cant be bothered going into detail with a discography of these bands, fans will know whats going on for the most part anyhow.
Also a lot more bands not listed here, Some of you might know what im talking about and that is good... to the others, what can i say?
Last but not least - Australian lable/distro GOATOWAREX released/bootlegged the VT lp of Brouillons. I know this and could back it up..
DO NOT SUPPORT THESE BOOTLEGGING MONEY MAKING JEWS!

This is actully the opposite, first demo was Black Metal and three demos after that were ambient.

well Im gonna make the attempt with MB, no one cared at all when this band was around...same with vlad..now it's all the rage amongst net minded "BM" stars
VT was killer, though the split with torgeist isnt so great
I remember when fullmoon was selling their "war funeral m,arch" demo for 2 bucks and no one wanted it ahahaha, how things change
99% of the Black Legions bootleg CDs you see on ebay are made from the guy of Acid Enema(us), the shit band that did a split with Xasthur
amusingly the guy from AE is a black fellow ahahaha

Best of luck! Any precise information?
Satanicum Tenebrae's first demo does have some ambient qualities to it. The demo from 1993 is NOT a ST demo like many tape traders list it as. That project is a LLN project but it isn't a ST one. As for drakkar or anyone else making official rereleases of the older material (either vlad tepes or Moonblood in Imperial's case) I can support this 100%.

Wasn't it the "seul" tape ? acoustic music with screams... I found this one highly interesting, one of my fave black legion related item...
Mmm... Ambiant could describe it, as people badly need to find a style to fit to every release...
Any one knows if Black Murder(VT side project) had any demo with vocals ? only thing I have is very primitive, not really finished(I think).
Yes, B.M. has 2 demos with vocals
CelticMoonfrost

All Black Murder demos (promo'94, Feasts I, II) with vocal.

sure. these MLP were probably just another occasion to surf on the actual trend that says that the black legions' material is true/cult/whatever in order to get some money from those who would actually pay hundreds to get the originals from ebay
Why not releasing again these original CDs with exactly the same artwork ? Moribund Cult did exactly the same with the Judas Iscariot CD backcatalogue in the past, the CD were originally limited to 1,000 copies but then they re-pressed them with exactly the same design and content, so that there is no difference.
Dans notre chule = Dans notre chute, french reader would have corrected this themselve.
(dans notre chute = In our fall)
Not heard anything new or totally confirmed about V.T.
But anyone good looking BM could wear a VT shirt and let people think he was playing in it by being mute and a bit "mysterious".
Anyway, VT and Belketre did some really great song, amongst the best apokalypse ambiance heard.
Mutiilation was great too.
Shit if anybody wants a full discograpy of ANY metal band in complete detail just check out www.metal-archives.com all my questions are always answered when it comes to shit like this.
