Went to the website...The album cover is killer! So, Mr. Archgoat, I would like to know more about "Venus in Furs?" Interesting choice for a cover tune...Care to elaborate?
just wanted to do something that wasnt the regular kind of thing

That's cool...I think it is good to stretch your boundaries on occasion...
"Venus in Furs" woooow, the song or the band ?
I MUST listen to that.
J.
killer
must get ahold of both the music and the cotton.....btw, what is the design on the shirt going to be? i have been hearing alot of heavy praise from reliable sources about the intensity of "The Black House", i am sure it will slay all things pretty and nice heh heh!
also, "Venus in Furs" sounds very familiar, who did this? I remember when Carpathian Forest did "A Forest".....it was a very untypical cover song and it fuckin buried The Cure's version of it.....
venus in furs would remind me of the book or the movie myself
Venus In Furs is from the Velvet Underground.

I have it. I'm also a V.U fan (actually a bigger fan than most people could guess heh)
There's a Venus in Furs band also but then not nearly as good as the V.U

great news for KRIEG ordered it today...
"Unbroken (Hotel Baby)" is the first single off MONSTER MAGNET's new album, "Monolithic Babies", due in Europe on February 16, 2004 through SPV Records. The single, which will also include an exclusive single-only version of the VELVET UNDERGROUND classic "Venus In Furs", will arrive on January 19. U.S. release dates for the album and the single have yet to be announced.

when I get mine, which should be any time now, I'll get one out to you
I dont know who is distributing this anywhere to be honest..
I'm actually trying to distribute it
no newz from the label yet
it is really one of the better releases coming out these days. although i prefer the older krieg stuff as this one sounds to much like j.i./weltmacht for me. i expected more chaos and ugliness but well, the atmosphere delivered is really strong and dark, no doubt. the cover picture is somehow strange but the colour(that disturbing grey) is really brilliant. somehow haunting (if anyone knows what i mean). captures the theme of nightmares very well. no lyrics, hmm. i simply do not understand this as i see mr.i. as one of the more intelligent ones in todays ug. the coverversion is done VERY well. i know the original one for quite a long time now and must admitt that it is perfectly executed.
Not that anyone cares...
I remember going through heavy toil to get my hands on "Rise of the Imperial Hordes" a few years back. I hated it, couldn't stand it, and couldn't find any redeeming qualities in it.
For some reason I gave Krieg a chance once again with "Destruction Ritual", cause some guy was selling his copy dirt cheap so I said whatever, which I also ended up hating, but "Coldwind Flame" really came through to me on that one.
Then I downloaded a rip of "The Black House" promo two months ago, and I must say, it is easily the best shit my ears have heard in the last 3 years.
Simply fucking brilliant.
It also made me re-listen both of the Krieg releases I own, and I must say I appreciate them way more now, however, "The Black House" is a fucking aural chaostorm up there next to "Under a Funeral Moon" or "The Return...".
The VU cover is FUCKING SICK, good choice Neil.
Now...is there any way I can get my filthy hands on that LP???

they're who released it and the split 7 inch w/Satanic Warmaster
as for the interest in the lyrics: I was going to print them in the CD version but the design was sent to press before I could get the text to Red Stream

The V.U cover fits in perfectly and i agree that they are 100 times more emotive than alot of todays current bands...
"true" black metal to me meens...
well BM is incredibly personel to me so i guess if you put your entire being into your album then its "true" even if its shit.. i guess that meens that this is the trueest black metal or any type of music can get..good work
