Armaggeda´s last effort is out, much more agressive than any previous release, with great technical parts. One of the best releases this year.

I´m kind of curious about it

I hope it's better then the debut. I wasn't too fuzzy about that one.

I guess I would give it a listen as well.

Better than there previous stuffs indead. Good feeling and good production as well. It is rawer than there previous opus.

In one word brilliant. The first track is amazing and tell you directly what to except from them.

I thought that their previous effort was good, so i will definately have to check this one out.

I haven't checked it out yet!
But Armaggeda's first album is fucking great!
Hope that this new one is equally good.

"Only True Believers" is probably one of the best releases this year, it fucking KILLS!!!

this release has definitely nothing to do with "the final...". mr.aggressor put it quite right although i would not go that far. musicwise the improvement is incredible(and tks to mr.n. the sound is 666 steps forward compared to cd 1).no doubt it is killer BUT the lyrics are not good at all, i dare to say. although one could say it is "straight from the heart" i think they are TOO simple. nothing that leaves scars on me to speak on a personal level. but, on the other hand, who shall be able to challenge mr.arioch and mr. erik? i guess this question is a rhetoric one.

i think the first armagedda album is way better!!! this new one sometimes even sounds like nu/thrash metal if you ask me.. its still good.. but i mis the agression and production of the first album.

It's produced by a fat middle-aged guy in a pop demo studio. Kind of ruins the listening pleasure for me...

Naeth
16-12-03, 21:20
how many tracks are on it?

Ivehets
16-12-03, 21:58
1. Refuse The Blood Of Jesus
2. Only True Believers
3. Emperor From The Eternal Dark
4. For I Am His Slave
5. A Poetry From A Poisoned Mind
6. Demons
7. Armagedda
8. Endless Fields Of Sorrow
9. Outro

Wow, I fell asleep before the first track was through. The only part of this album that held my attention was that monkey crap at the beginning.

Solphur
16-12-03, 23:49
This album was disappointing. Armagedda where one of my absolute favourite bands untill this release. I think its ok though, and it has some good parts, esp. the last song, Endless Fields of Sorrow, but i expected it to be as great as The Final War Approaching....

Ive been waiting for weeks for my copies from Drakkar...seems some problems with Agonia Recs....

"Ive been waiting for weeks for my copies from Drakkar...seems some problems with Agonia Recs...."

So we are two waiting this album from "Noktu's label" since some weeks...
I don't know if "Only true believers" is quite good but previous album is not bad for sure!
What's the line-up nowadays ? is the same than "Final war" or be changed ?

Solphur
17-12-03, 01:28
a new drummer. He for sure doesn't play "Emperor from the Eternal Dark" (the song on BME III re-recorded for "only...") as good as the previous one.

necromorbus

The lineup today is A and Graav. Hor played session drums on Only true believers. On the new album, recently recorded but not released yet, there is yet another session drummer.

I agree with Astaroth, this album blows! and I really liked FWA...

Taken from their website: http://www.armagedda.net

"The next major event from Armagedda must be the third full-length album that will be released this spring. This obscure occult monument will take your feelings back to the beginning of the 1900 century when superstition ruled mother earth. A path to the spirit world, entitled to Ond Spiritism - Djefvulens Skalder. You can find preview here.

The picture disc version of Only True Believers will be available very soon. For more info regarding that contact Agonia Records. "

I think it's fucking killer...nothing original but, so what??

Anyone actually know what that shit at the start and the end is??

stigmata
05-03-04, 17:23
Actually it is samples from the serie Twin Peaks.
And i read their interview in Terrorizer when Graav explained why they choosed that intro, here it goes:

"The voices on the intro spoke to me like a mockering against the praise words of man to God..."

Maldoror

What ? an interview in Terrorizer, big one or little
They fuckin start to get exposure but they deserve it!
Is there any interview of Slipknot or nu metal shite in it beside A ?

stigmata
05-03-04, 17:43
A little one, they didnt seem to get so much space. Exposure... well they just do their own thing and do not follow any specific "guide-lines" like many other bands in the UG "scene" do.

I have heard that Funeral Mist also was included in Terrorizer but im not sure, i got this interview via email.

I don't know why you're all crying about them appearing in Terrorizer. Black Metal is everything but underground....

vintyr
05-03-04, 19:19
Well, compared to other 'underground' music (Dance music and Hardcore punk to name a couple of examples), it kind of is...it's certainly getting less so.

Good album, good full production. The first riff on "Emperor from the..." reminds me of the first riff on "Pagan fears".

Curious to see this "Hard 'n Heavy" Funeral Mist interview, if i only could read french...

I must say that although i like the album I don´t see nothing special in it. Specially in the production which is just vulgar.

Not really interesting anyway.
Just a page with the "journalist" telling that F.Mist is truly evil and things like that.. then Arioch saying some thing like "I play Black Metal for Satan ...."
No really worth info.

After hearing this record for the first time a couple days ago I must say that it kicks the SHIT out of "Final War Approaching".

KoldVoid

I hold an opinion opposite to that of In Solitude. One step forward, two steps back for Armagedda. Sounds more mature I guess, without any of the elements that gave "Final War Approaching" it's charm.

This band has always been derivative.

Granted, they were good at it, but... we need leaders, not excellent followers.
