recently bought the "Nada Brama"+ "Nazi Occult Metal " vinyl at DTM, chekc it out, fukking killer band...I didn´t expect it to be that good...but I heard the new stuff sucks...

Yez, their last release came across to me as being particularly weird, but I was aware of that so it didn't surprised me in the end, anyway I fucking enjoy their past releases (the ones I've been able to listen to)...

What I heard was an MP3 that I believe was from TYONS.

ss death dealer didn't play in "the yoga of national socialism" LP... so the black/thrash and generally old school style is no more...

I am not as concerned with style as musical coherence, and, in my view, the band is getting closer to clear expression...

Sorry to exhume this old post but a question came to my mind :

A lot of ns bands use the abbreviation "a.y.p.s" after a year , for example : "album recorded in 2002 a.y.p.s ..... , we started in January 1992 a.y.p.s...."

Does any enlightened member know what the four letter in "a.y.p.s" stands for ?

I used to know, but I no longer remember the true version, it's something like "after the plague of yehova"... Maybe you'll find somebody's here who knows the true meaning of the letters..

BTW, not only NS bands use it. An example which comes to mind is Darkthrone, which used it in "Transylvanian Hunger" at least. And don't tell me that Darkthrone is NS like some people do.

Vikernes has popularized its use, I've just checked my DARKTHRONE albums, and only the tracks written by him for DARKTHRONE own this "terminology"...

Seems it's not Adolfo, but Baldur von Schirach.

There should be competition between NSBM bands for "Best use of Hitler samples". My vote goes to Absurd, of course.

S.O.L. play three different styles here, one older raw material on red vinyl, newer but still thrashing and catchy on the black vinyl and white vinyl being more experimental apocalyptic folk metal. Their concept is at the very least more involved than almost any other band at this time. Tying together ancient Indo-European religions with the most divisive political crisis (nationalism, naturalism versus materialist superpowers) was a brilliant move. The music may hit different people in different ways... some of it seems like good hardcore crossed with a really bizarre version of Nuclear Assault (?).

One further thing: I wouldn't identify SOL as NSBM, nor really black metal... both of those terms have been worn so thin you can see right through them :)

SOL plays SOL music and the whole "concept" is maybe a bit hard to get except perhaps for Camazotz and Griffiths...

The whole concept seems to be Camazotz last reading integrated to the previous concept. Quite special, strange, interessant.

I agree; they fit into no defined categories smoothly.

Categories is a concept to be remade when it come to SOL.

Even if I don't want to put this band in the "oV dA KVlT" / "best band in the world" / "The" Band etc.. wagon, I must say that this is a "out of the norm" band.

The KVLT kiddies embrace anything that's the same old stuff dressed up.

Spear of Longinus is esoteric musically enough that they can't "get it."

No grok, no play, not as much hype.

Now if the pseudo-NSBM kiddies (neo-Nazis are not Nazis) would just gas themselves, and kill some Judeo-Christians or foreigners in the process...
