Hey I guess the mix between so called NS hardcore (the "new" way) of pro pain and Nulcear assault & Exodus (no mercy fest coming shortly) is a lot worst than 2 black metal bands like Taake (ok on cd) and Impiety.

About this fest, we were really planning to go to the black sun this year, but last year was far most interesting...

Ho no, not the pseudo new trend which consists in spitting on the so called "Norsecore" scene. Now, one can be considered as being (self proclaimed) kkkkkult since he only likes bands hailing from Cuba, Boswana or whatever.

Pfffff and Impiety is ok on stage but the guys are a bit :shuthefp:
You may at least support the fact that Bael (a real UG spirit band) is playing there !

I personaly like Goat semen, Nasav, Abhrorer but also Funeral mist, Darkthrone, Beherit, Pest, Katharsis, In Aeturnum.

I don't like Taake so much but the first CD is ok, no keyboards no female vocals and a minimum of "darkness".

But I see one fact : 90% of actual southamerican / asiatic hellhordes are really killer... I think that hodes like goat semen, surrender of divinity, korihor, black angel & so on don't need comments anymore...

In the other side I see that the killer hordes like beherit & co or today dead... The problem is that in norway for example there is no new bands to sit down on BEHERIT's throne...

for sure, there is swedish scene with killer hordes but for one pure band of blasphesick metal you have 100 morons that will come to play cool life metal..

but still the billing on this year´s UTBS suxxx...I mean there are so many good UG hordes around (not goin to mention any examples...) and the folter guy is getting Taake again: They´ve just played a tour through whole Europe and everyone has seen them at least once (and they´re not too special live anyway...in my opinion they suck!!!!). I would recommend you guys to attend the Open Hell Fest in Czech Republic this year (10 Jewros for two days of total East European Madness: w. ROOT, DESASTER, DARK STORM, AVENGER, LORD BELIAL and some more great hordes...)

I agree with Krieg, Venom is killer ! Especially with Cronos. I don't like that much what they've done after but I gave a new listen to "Prime Evil", and in the end, it's good ! Catchy riffs... OK it's not the same "Venom" but it's still a good album.

What about Temples Of Ice ? hahaha this is really not Venom at all anymore...

prime evil is the last listenable venom album from those years

they did perform on friday in the end & it seemed like it was well worth the trip for them
for the saturday's gig : no clue.

Just coming back from there...

The first thing is a lack of something like one day of sleep, I think we'll develop later, but for me, the highlights were :

-Bael
-Corpus Christi (And not just because LSK played the bass...)
-Deströyer 666
-Impiety

Zemial was really Ok, but played one of the most boring track of the whole fest (some will disagree), Nemesis Occulta was a kind of joke I hope, I can't remember the others right now...

Pictures had been taken, Gerboss will surely post them soon...

I've Forgot to mention In Aeternum, great band live ! (and despite the fact Necromorbus was totally drunk, he did a pretty decent job.)

Yez i got greats Piks of the event, including the performance of Miss SLK With Corpus Christii... just finishing the sorting.

I wasn't drunk, I was actually very ill, I felt a couple of times that I was going to just drop down and die, I can't remember ever feeling this bad before. So I'm of course sorry that it affected my playing ability a bit, but I tried as hard as I could anyway, so that's good enough for me to not feel like a total jerk.

To be honest, your set was good, some parts was just a bit strange, especialy when breaks arrived, but I really like your drumming, and the whole stuff was very good...

What is it about these bands whose paint looks like tic-tac-toe or connact the dots or something??? Mayhap we helped start an "elaborately bad corpse paint" trend?

It was really a great festival as a whole, really worth the long trip, many of the bands playing there destroyed everything (not talking for Nemeshit Occulta !!) and playing with Corpus Christii was a great Xperience, even with the bad conditions.. total respect to the maniacs who stayed freezing their asses under the hard rain !!

To Vince > no, Azaghal cancelled finally

To Vince-> Misanthropy was quite good live,at least that´s my opinion,they almost didn´t rehearse and Ed was somewhat forgetting the lyrics,but overal it was quite ok for a first gig.
In Aeternum was also quite ok,had power,was curious to see Necromorbus wasted playing the drums,but hey,he made it.

Till now there was no commencts regarding Lugubre gig,I think it was really good,short show but pretty intense,looking forward for their full lenght album.
