Nothing was as outstanding as that one, but there were great releases by Aosoth, Arckanum, Mgla, Arghoslent, Lifelover and Leviathan and last but not least, DSO and SVEST.

Apart from SVEST - Le Diable est ma Raison (amazing stuff but really good and haunting) / ARGHOSLENT / MORBOSIDAD / ANWYNN / HORNA and the amazing shit provided by THE DEVIL'S BLOOD, 2008 was a letdown.

I was so sure, since I listened to Flames when I was in Australia, which was in 2007. But that was probably the sample from the album, of course. My bad.

I thought the new Vermeth cd wasn't as good as Your Ruins, though it's worth putting as best of 2008. Just everything seems a bit muffled, though the vocals are really great and over the top, inhuman...
