I like it, it's a move away from the production on DPE, which had its own aura but I prefer the "leaner" sound for Anta. I also think the vox are more varied and slashing!

This new song sounds very good, in a way a bit sharper sound than on DPE.

Is that a glimpse of the cover artwork as well on that site? Possible to see it in a bigger resolution?

about the sound, yes the "program" I use to create mp3 sucks, I never use this format, so I did download the first thing that came around and mmmm there is a bit loss in the transfert I guess

about the cover, I'll post one version when I'll get something bigger than the one posted on the myspace site

Different from "DPE" and maybe closer to "CYFAWS" (which is of course a very good point, "DPE" was ok though) ... I didn't really enjoy the EP but this new album seems fucking promising, can't wait !

Normally not my cup of tea but that track was great, kills Dark Funeral/Marduk/etc. at the first place, in all kind of aspects.

Sect (Valnoir) is to do the artwork yes
but so far, not much has been completed
Concept by the band, realisation & inside picture by mister Sect though.
We're awaiting his work and it's off to the label & ready to be pressed.

The covers are covers that make you think, a black and white is nice sometimes but they are nothing you relly think about that much.
The lp cover is a god one, i myself was thinking about the vine that resembles jesus blood, and here it have tuned to worms (and it turned to worms in his mouth)
It´s nice to see something new sometimes.

When it comes to the music i was not impressed the first listenings but now it have grown on me, so i will buy this when it is relesed.

i think the font used for the text on the cover is a bit too...... you know....too Arial?

Great artwork. Don't really see the need for "stench", when the symbolism is as strong as it is.

I'm not going to star a too specialized typographic speech, it would be a pain in the ass of almost everybody here.
I think you mean this way that the font I used seems too "simple" or "classical"for you?
Well My opinion is "the most simple it is, the most efficient and elegant the result shall be". A cheap dafont gothic font would "vampirize" the whole visual by his amator and "undesigned" shape. By the way it's primordial for Antaeus to communicate in a more sacral and almost institutional way than in a kistsch Bm way. The contrast between the very epurate aspect of the font and the chaos emanating of their artistical expression has the following result: a balance giving a sense to each part.

Ajna yes, and they'll have their version of the digi distributed through Southern Lord. But it shall be available later, in one month minimum

European version shall reach distributors and so on before the end of sept'.

Great artwork, 'valnoir' has his influences but knows what he's doing. One of the few using potential. Also, good that the lyrics are included.

Blood Libels sounds very powerful and without a doubt the best thing AntaeuS have released. The artwork is quite simple, but symbolic and effective (at least on vinyl, haven't seen the cd). Overall one of the best releases of this year.

Beautiful artwork (CD version), powerful music/lyrics, far better than "De Principii Evangelikum" in any case.

Very nice lay-out.
Good songs with good production.
Very good album.

A shame that a lot of the songs lose their identity on the audioviolence stageperformances!

Although this is already a great release, I'll always prefer DPE and CYFAWS, I think.
Anyway, the guitarsound reminds me alot of Immortal's "Pure holocaust" and some of the riffing on the A-side as well (more traditional). Some guitarists here who can confirm or contradict, without losing objectiveness...?

Got the cd 3days ago now, and hey this must be the best looking digipack i have ever seen.

about Immortal, considering the interest that the band has towards this band, this is very unluckily to be done on purpose & mmm I still don't really find the link myself, but as you said "I might loose objectiveness"

yes it is.

I think that one is way better than DPI, I prefer the songs, and the drum playing makes a HUGE difference, in my opinion.

I guess some may be disapointed because it is too well played... whatever...

got it yesterday, haven't look at the digipak yet but the album is great

I think I prefer it to CYFAWS, the drumming and its variety are amazing

Mkm's vocals are a lot better too, I like the more restrained sound as opposed to the wild and crazy screeching

I've never really heard DPE, so I can't compare

Please don't make public its limitation...you ve seen what happened with other Antaeus releases :iark:

I finally got around to listening to the album (the LP's been lying around for about a month!) and this is seriously incredible. I've never been that big a fan of the previous Antaeus albums, but this one's definitely on my top-of-2006 list.

The Blood Libels song are my fauvorite..but is a total killer album.
