Is there someone who has some more infos concerning Lifelover from sweden?
Their debut CD should be out through Goatowarex, but the only infos that I´ve found are that they play music similar to Joyless/F.Woods and WOI. Anyone who knows a bit more or have a sample?

The sample is quite nice piece of 60's rock'n'roll revisited. Remains to be seen if you really can bring anything innovative (or atleast entertaining) to this genre (rock) since all the interesting stuff seems to have been recorded when most of our parents were still teen punks on acid.

After hearing the album I was quite suprised. Judging by the sample I waited for something far more basic stuff but those doubts soon came to change. The music is not black metal nor even metal, but more like psychedelic 60s rock'n'roll (as I mentioned in my earlier post) but with more recent hooks. Don't know if it is just my current state of mind, but this has worked really well for me.

As some negative points, I still consider the lyrics to be quite typical teen poems. Other thing I wonder is the naked girl, what is so special/interesting about her that there's five different nude pictures of her? Thirdly, the gay Swedish culture (pun intented) is present on this album in the form of samples (as heard in the sample song) and to basic melancholic Finn like me the reasons of this are bit mysterious. Well, sometimes they work, but usually they don't.

I would guess that they are playing on the concept of the children's innocence, when using it together with the lyrical themes. In a paradoxical sort of way.

It sounds waaay to much like a black metaller-attempt at being overly alternative and playing some kind of pop instead (recognize the pattern?). On top of that the production is ultra-muddy and vocals don't fit in half of the album.
