is anything by this band worth tracking down? I've never heard anything by them
all I know is that they are apparently "ugly and chaotic", but that's so subjective in terms of metal these days
I found a few of their tapes in distros, but am wondering if they are worth ordering

They're fantastic...certainly worth investing in.

Never heard them, but I heard/read everywhere that this band (one man band) was great.

I've got some other tapes from the guy, mostly dark ambiant, which are great (Stigma Diabolicum, Black Sheep) and a demo from 1983 called Skull Face, which is a mixture of thrash and Mötorhead ! In the end it sounds quite like proto-black metal, not too far from old Bathory.

it's not too bad, i have 2 ZBT demos, its primitive black metal, pretty interesting
and the man behind the project is 40 years of gae and has 2 kids, you don't imagine that when you listen to his music...

To me his best stuff is Demo 20 "Duke" and Demo 10 "Satan's Servants". Still the rest is worthy enough to get it.

I guess he has only one daughter. Who recorded one demo under the name of EWE. It's some dark nighmarish ambient, in the vein of Stigma Diabolicum.

That could sound cheesy, but I'm total confident in this project as I've never been disappointed by what he did. His daughter screams also in the demo "Doomsday"

except for Luc Mertz (the ZBT guy) the only guy near 40, to my knowledge, who was playing black metal was quorthon..
