View Full Version : no more Selbstmord Service
the rip-off king of scandinavian distro $elbstmord $ervice finished his activities... The last album of Shining will be released by Avantgarde Music.
im still waiting for that bloodline LP (werwolf..)
The fact that Shining will release its last album does not necessary mean the closure of Selbstmord Services.
the webmaster of devilmusic (postorder of s.s) said that selbstmord services was going to close down, due to lack of interest (whatever that implies).
did anyone ever see the "new" krohm cd?
was it released?

Here's the reason...
Kvarforth says
As said, mostly because I felt that the other Selbstmord bands were getting less attention when Shining was around as somehow you tend to focus more on promoting your own band than the others when doing a label, just look at Satyr for example, I know that bands as Darkthrone and foremost Thorns could get just as big as his bands though he focuses more on what he's doing himself you know. There has since the debut 7" been quite a bunch of labels, big ones as well, interested in releasing Shining but I've never been to interested in letting other idiots putting their filthy hands on my works before released, though it is different with Avantgarde as I myself have much respect for the label and especially the man behind as well... There were some plans of doing an strict Swedish version of the album via Selbstmord but that will not happen.

I really think we were talking about Shining IV...
Ave.
Well, Kvarforth's statement is, as usual, not true concerning Shining's interest in working with new labels since on two occasions he has had interest in working with Ajna.
Take note vultures...at one time, long ago, after the 'Submit' 7" surfaced AJNA approached (then) Niklas about releasing a single based upon two pieces of art. The idea was received with enthusiasm, but the songs were not. AJNA rejected the songs and at least one interview has been seen where Niklas thanks AJNA for not using the songs, since he too was not happy with the end result- due to heavy drug use at the time.
More recently Kvarforth contacted AJNA about releasing the IVth Shining album on LP format. Of course AJNA was interested, but we are also interested in releasing the Ondskapt album on vinyl, but the delays and excuses have been beyond all human comprehension.
In time...
Bane
I hope they will honour their trades before throwing the key in the toilets...

I just recieved a trade pack from Selbstmord 2 weeks ago !
yes, to be fair I have successfully purchased from Selbstmord - he was prompt in sending me my package. I don't know if others have had bad experiences, but I don't have anything negative to say myself.
last year, my brother's package(shinning II cd) and one of my friend's package didn't come.
I haven't had any problems with Selbstmord, the 3-4 times I've dealt with them... But it's been a year now sicne that happened...
Bane, so there won't be an Ondskapt LP released by Ajna??
I have nothing negative to say about Selbstmord either, but on the other hand I think it's pretty different when the matters concern more than just single customers... So I really don't know the situation in that case.
I believe that Niklas/Kvarforth tried to do more than he could handle..... It's understandable that things can fuck up pretty bad if you suffer from psychical problems/apathy, but that is no excuse for bad manners.

And Ondskapt are on Next Horizon Records.
Some more information in this matter: Niklas is, according to sources, trying to regroup under another name or something. In other words, he is trying to pull an "AIDS Productions" on us. He is in heavy debt and this is his way of getting out of it without having to pay up.
Next Horizon Records i've never heard of... And a google search turned up nothing. Any website or info?

It's a new swedish label. A homepage will probably be up soon. The same label will also release the new Zavorash album.

are you implying that next horizon is niklas new shady label? or why are all the selbstmord bands jumping on to a "new" swedish label? with figures like aids-infected henrik degenerate, stirring up a new breed of swedish rip-of labels, that is active a month, signing some bands, and then dissapears... one should be very careful.

Absolutely not. Next Horizon is totally independent to Selbstmord. Niklas' label will go under some other name, whatever it was. NH has nothing at all to do with Selbstmord and will never do.

From the Demonic Horde interview:
"I have also decided to end SELBSTMORD SERVICES, but do not worry, you will still experience the extreme blend of negativity our releases were known for via the new Swedish company VICIOUS RECORDINGS whom will be far more professional and ruthless, some bands have however choosen to not participate in this development, but as it looks now The Vicious consist of BLOODLINE, EIKIND, FUNERAL DIRGE (ressurected!), KROHM, PUISSANCE and THESYRE..." - K.
Vicous Recordings. Then I guess this is K. his new label...
Who's behind Next Horizon then? You?

Bloodline are also off Selbstmord/Vicious.
NH is Stockholm based. I will not say too much too soon in respect to the people involved, but I guess the info will be found on their homepage as soon as it's up.

I wonder, why he re-release all his back-catalogue on
DIGI-packs ??
Maybe, there are serious reasons for doing this, but, if so
then there must be serious problems and if so, then he had
made major mistakes... i heard, he don´t pay for the studio
and things like that... know anyone more about ??
