Got an adv. CD-r some months ago, and it´s the absolutely best what I´ve ever heard of AOA...expect the brutality + straightness of "The List" combined with a really good swedish sounding production...no triggered drums, no clean guitars just pure audial aggression....

Killer indeed. Love the Swedish guitar sound. USA version of 'Obey' will be licensed through Red Stream.
And new Revenge in November.
Didn't pay much attention to "the list" But I dig this sample so far, curious to see the whole
any release date provided?
I heard a bit of this from an advanced cd also and it sounded very good,
On of the most interesting bands in there vein at the moment,
The List is good but Strike if far superior in my opinion,
Cant wait to have a copy of this,

The AOA "Obey" album will be seemingly released on early September.
release date on osmose is Sept 6th
it's also being released on redstream in north america, not sure the date for that one
swedish production? i dont think the guitars sound "swedish" in anyway, can you please explain what you mean?
killer,killer,killer!!!

it would be nice to be their support act again, heh. . .

The riffs aren't of the Swedish variety at all but to me the actual guitars sound in the vein of the Swedish death metal bands (maybe a bit like Dismember's on 'Death Metal'). That is not a guitar sound typical of bands from North America.
from the press release:
"Recorded in Malmö, Sweden at Berno Studio with Henrik Larsson at the helm "

Yes, Vermin said they'd produce it in Sweden, I was just surprised they actually came away with the old Swedish sound. A good surprise. A lot of what we hear from Sweden now is that "Abyss" sound.
this is out now
good album, nice militaristic atmosphere
original stuff, not typical canadian war metal
They've always been very original and not so typical...
