Hail ! searching for a BM Zine that is worth enough to release a Darklord Interview i did in February 2002 for a Zine called Flagellation. But this idiot never released it and is now out of BM i heard ( better for him ). Darklord is a ultimate BM band from Australia with own style and great guitar solis. Released a Demo CD in 1994 called " ...by the force of sacred magick rites" with the most evil vocals ever. And then in year 2001 they came back to kick ass with " Symphony Satanikka". Extrem deep sound, fast, powerful, insane vocals and great synths. Believe me - one of the best ( also professional ) band ever.
Also my Blasphemy interview with mighty Blackwinds and Förster was kicked because the weakness of this bastard but i gave it to Clay ( ex. Goat Penis ) for his Battle webzine. if somebody is interested in you can read it there. If somebody is interested in releasing the D. Lord intie mail me !

Fucking brutal and excellent !!!

I was really disappointed about the "Symphonia satanika", too much fucking keyboards and useless solo in my opinion, and the voice isn't as great !

That is not really right ! Of course " By the force.." was still more extreme, but they had also this guitar solis in the m-cd. That is also a reason that makes this band something special.
All bands in the past ( Heavy / Speed / Thrash / Death bands ) having guitar solis and that was great - nowadays this feeling is mostly lost. " Symphony Satanikka" have keys and more melodies but is still one of the best albums with own style ( what is not easy nowadays because most bands sounded the same shit ) and the vocals are still great but now they change betweens two vocal styles.

Agree...when i listen to 'S. S.' i've the impression they haven't that clear in mind what they want play...awesome growls, screams, ultra melodic keyboards, low tuned compressed guitars, heavy metal solos...btw it isn't that bad...

'...by the force...' was fukking killer!

saw DARKLORD live the other week. Good set apart from some minor sound fuck ups...those twin necked guitar solo maniacs....haha...killer shit

Well, the solo on the "By the forces ..." are really excellent and it fit exactly with the brutality of the music, I agree.
But on the "Symphonia ..." there is too much solos that are really useless in my point of view, a kind of "hey guy look how I'm a great guitar player !". I have nothing against solo but on this album you have some songs with 2 mn of keyboards and sweeping guitar part that add toatlly nothing to the dark atmosphere, it is the contrary !
Anyway this is only my point of view !
